American Eagle Outfitters Reviews

(It’s almost Friday!)

I’m getting ready for my marathon this weekend (woot woot!) so I’m not sure I’ll get to a Neurosciency Friday this week…

However, I did want to share my recent AEO order!
American Eagle Outfitters currently has a sale for 40% off everything + free shipping through 10/14 (coupon code: 09L27551).

I took advantage of some giftcards I had and their “50% off clearance stuff” sale last week and picked up the following:

Lightweight boyfriend cardigan in camel

Lightweight boyfriend cardigan.  I bought the cardigans in two colors: cranberry and chalk.  The colors are pretty much as depicted on the website.  The cranberry is a lovely deep crimson and the chalk is a plain white (and a tad sheer).  The sizing is slightly more fitted than the size chart indicates.  The cardigan is pretty casual.  Oh, and the style is hi-low (so the back is lower than the front) which is a bit weird, but kind of cute.  If you’re looking for a less casual cardigan, you might try this one from Gap (which I own and loove) or these from BR (40% off through 10/12 with code BR40SALE).

AEO Scalloped Skinny Belt
– Scalloped Skinny Belt.  I don’t wear too many belts, but this belt is super charming and I can’t wait to figure out how to wear it as much as possible this fall.  It’s also apparently real leather, which is nice.

Every Wear Ruched T Shirt.  Bleh.  Way too low-cut and fitted for me.  It runs probably at least a size small.  But it also has neon pink stitching on the sides so just … not really work appropriate.

Embroidered Loop Scarf.   I actually bought this in the cream color, but it sold out.  The fabric is super soft and the embroidery is delicate.  Another piece I can’t wait to wear this season.

Floral Shine Loop Scarf.  I don’t wear shiny stuff usually (man…writing this post out makes me realize how many clothing “rules” I have.  Haha.) but I love the threads of silver in this scarf.  It’s not as soft as the gauzy embroidered loop scarf, but it’s definitely cute, and I think it will go with a lot of stuff in my closet.

Now that I have a belt, some scarves, and more cardigans, I feel like I am totally ready for fall.  Ha ha. 🙂

There are a ton of Columbus Day sales going on right now — besides Gap and BR there’s also J. Crew having a 40% off all final sale items.  I probably won’t buy anything but I definitely did a bit of browsing earlier this week. 😉

I have to say, if this dress (in the rich burgundy color) magically materialized out of nowhere, I would be okay with that…

How do you wear accessories?  (or do you?)

Have a great long weekend! 🙂
